Earlier I also thought of how to make the triangles in the end. But actually we don't need any triangle. Each square is such that there is a pattern of X as two diagonal lines running from opposite corners. So, if we see otherwise it looks like triangles or half diagonal of a square in the end. But it is not so. I hope that helps!
